Spring!

 Its been getting nicer and nicer out and we've been loving the sunny weather! Spring has officially sprung! We've heard of the less fortunate Canadians who are still snowbound in some places so this post is for you! Here is you're very own little taste of spring :)

This first picture is of our backyard, these lovely little shoots are the bluebells that pop up every year. Not quite out yet but nearly!

Daffodils line the roadsides in spring, so why not have some in your house!

These tulips were just calling out to me the other day...Deanna...take us home...

It was actually because Euan couldn't stop staring at them in the grocery store so technically he picked them out.

This little beauty was given to me for Valentines day. Its just begging to be sniffed! 

Even the cows are out enjoying spring!

Swings and Teeth

Yay! Mr Euan has two spankin new teeth! I was actually surprised they came through so easily! He was only a bit more clingy than usual, drooled a lot and then there they were! I'm hoping they all come through like that but am not getting my hopes up.

We had a couple nice sunny days this past week so me and Euan went on a date to the park. He got his first swing on a swing and loved it :) It was still a bit chilly but he didn't seem to mind. We tried to soak up as much sun as possible before it starts raining again. It was our first taste of spring and we looooved it. Our bluebells in the garden are starting to come up and the robins are out in full force. I'm just hoping the robin that used to stalk me in our garden has found another home this year, I'm not crazy about birds and he would get a little to close for comfort....

5 Months of Euan

So the boy is now 5 months old and its gone way to fast. 5 MONTHS!!! Who let this happen...seriously...!!!!! So his list of credentials are:

-he can roll over from front to back, hasn't quite mastered going back to front but he's close!

-he can sit up on his own but still likes to face plant occasionally

-eats solids like a fiend, he loooooves food! Hasn't turned his nose up at anything yet but does pull some interesting faces.

-babbles away all day long

-likes to get his own way, he will throw a mini tantrum if I take something away from him that he wasn't quite finished with (can't wait until he's a teenager...)

-giggles, especially when tickled

-pulls the dogs hair, Ollie hasn't learned to keep out of arms reach yet, it might take a few more fistfuls of hair before he gets it...silly pooch

-harbours very strong feelings of love for his jolly jumper

-will fall asleep his crib without being rocked, bounced, fed, jiggled, swung, smooshed, or cuddled...this is a big one for us, he hasn't been very good at it in the past and it's heaven

-goes to bed between 6:30-7pm every night(for the past week anyway...) and doesn't get up until 8am(love it!)

-is cuter than I can bear...

-very smiley, even to strangers....for now

That's all I can't think of for now so on to the pictures!!!!

Happy Valentines Day

Hope everyone has a suitably heart filled day. I'm looking forward to making some delicious chocolate mousse later this evening...mmmmm chocolate. What is Valentines day without chocolate! I don't have any cutesy Valentines pictures, sorry. I do have a couple just normal ones. I can't bring myself to blog without pictures so enjoy!

We had a fun Christmas at Glenns parents house, we stayed a couple days and ate way too much. We didn't buy a whole lot of presents as we are saving up for the big move but Euan managed to come home with a load anyway! Euan loved all the attention and came home a bit spoiled! Before Christmas he could usually entertain himself on the floor for a bit, after Christmas he wanted to be held allllllll the time! I could get nothing done! Luckily he's  pretty much back to normal! 

We had some friends stay with us for a few days over New Years which was fun! They have a little boy who is 3 months younger than Euan, it was so strange seeing such a tiny baby! And Euans not even much older! After they left I came down with a nasty flu....it was horrible! Poor Euan was so bored of hanging out in bed with me, I tried to entertain him but lying in bed dying while shaking a toy above his head while trying to sleep wasn't very entertaining apparently...we made due with making blanket forts instead.

Euan had his 3rd set of shots, he is done until he's a year old now(yay) He had two in one leg and one in the other. He was very brave and even smiled at the nurse after. Right before he got them he puked all over my lap...so it looked like I had wet myself. Luckily there were witnesses so no explanation was needed. Still felt a bit funny walking home afterwards. 

We've started feeding the little monkey some solids. He looooooves it! Gobbles it right down and looks for more. What a little piggy! He weighed in at 15lbs 13oz yesterday, he is still dead on the 50th percentile. 

Wow this post isn't very exciting...I think next time I will make up some elaborate story to tell...

I have a ton of pictures to put up but need to upload them onto the computer so one will have to do for now...he was rudely awoken by mom putting the camera in his face, he's not impressed.

Christmas Cuteness!

We were bored this afternoon and Euan had his hot Christmas PJ's on, so we had a little photo shoot. He was a little grumpy because he had his shots done yesterday, but always the professional he didn't let it stop him from looking great!
